Pregnant women
Before pregnancy....
To optimize this crucial period in a woman's life.
Correcting any dysfunctions, particularly in the pelvis, helps to promote the proper physiological functioning of the organs it contains (ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus...) and can prove to be a significant advantage for procreation.
During pregnancy...
To allow the body to adapt to the changes due to fetal growth.
To combat digestive problems because the uterus takes up more and more space and pushes back the other internal organs.
To reduce or even eliminate spinal pain caused by increased lumbar curvature, especially in the last trimester of pregnancy (sciatica in pregnant women, ligamentous dystension of the pelvis, Lacomme's syndrome...)
To prepare the pelvis for the birth of the baby.
After childbirth...
To allow the body to gradually regain its original harmony.
To combat baby blues, the stress of postpartum.
To rebalance a sacrum or coccyx traumatized by somewhat "sporty" childbirths, to relieve hemorrhoids, perineal problems (episiotomies...).
To facilitate breastfeeding in certain cases...
Generally, one session per trimester of pregnancy is recommended, but this is very variable: it depends a lot on the mother's health. However, a consultation at the end of pregnancy is strongly advised to prepare the pelvis for childbirth.
Postpartum follow-up is also very important, especially if there is pain and/or if an epidural or spinal anesthesia was performed.
